Norfolk School Games Final

We’re very proud of our Athletics team who came fourth yesterday at the Norfolk School Games finals. Optimal conditions at UEA Sportspark and beautiful weather were a fitting background to another successful outing for our young athletes who showed great determination and excellent teamwork. Thank you to our dedicated staff who supported them along the way.

CET Photographer of the year

The Art department are proud to announce that several year 7 and 8 students have been involved in the CET photographer of the year competition. We have been meeting regularly after school to photograph as many aspects of the tricky theme for this year; ‘Serendipity.’
All students have been excited by this opportunity and have met with professional photographer Leon Chew to have individual tutorials and feedback on their work. We are now in the final stages of the competition where 3 students will be short listed by Leon Chew and selected to go to London and see their work professionally printed.
We would like to wish all the students the best of luck for the finals.

A Gluttony of Art and Lost in photography

On Friday 9th June Lynn Grove Academy hosted the very first exhibition for the current year 10 Art and Photography students as part of the Norfolk and Norwich Open studios. It was a taster of the rising talents of the future. The evening was a resounding success, well attended and sparked many a conversation about how each Artist had interpreted their title.
Celebrating and exhibiting work is very important to the Lynn Grove Art department. Throughout the year many of the displays throughout our school have dramatically changed to showcase the talent of our students. The exhibitions promote pride and discussion about the Art.
Big congratulations to all who took part in this year’s event.

District Athletics success

We’re very proud of our fabulous Athletics team who won the East Norfolk School Sport Partnership District Athletics competition at the Wellesley Stadium for the second year running. This great success is down to the hard work our pupils put in during their training sessions and the team effort on the day. A great thank you must go to our PE staff and all supporters that helped them along the way.

7Billion Ideas Challenge Days

We were delighted by the excellent presentation skills of the young people at our 7Billion Ideas challenge days finals. Not only did they come up with some great ideas, we also saw great teamwork, determination and had loads of fun, as you can see in the photographs. Thank you to 7Billion Ideas, Mrs Hirst, Mrs Harper and Mrs Edwards for making it happen.
