STEM competition in Ely

Year 9 pupils recently travelled to King’s Ely to take part in a DT / Science competition. Twenty of our pupils worked in groups to design and race a boat, built from and propelled by scrap materials. They all worked really hard and came up with some truly brilliant designs, making it into the final 14 and winning the prize for most creative use of materials. A fun day out in glorious sunshine they did themselves proud and were a credit to their school. Well done all.

DofE Award coming to Lynn Grove

We are very excited that we have received official recognition as a Duke of Edinbugh award centre. Mrs Roberts, the DoE Lead, is currently recruiting for the new cohort of participants for the Bronze Award. Year 9 pupils who want to get involved next year should speak to Mrs Roberts urgently as there are only a few places left. So if you are up for an adventure, if you are keen to learn new skills and want to give something back to your community then come and join the DoE group.
