Year 10 Athletics Success

We are very proud of our Year 10 students who this Thursday, 19 May 2022, put together a series of great performances to win the Year 10 athletics competition at the Wellesley Stadium. They cheered and supported each other to the very end. Some competed in disciplines new to them and still won valuable points that eventually brought Lynn Grove the overall win. Well done to all of them and thank you to Mr. Goddard and everyone who supported them.

Last tournament of the season

On Wednesday, 27 April 2022, Miss Anastasiou took nine students from years 7 and 8 to Norwich Rugby Club for their last tournament of the year. The day was filled with rugby coaching, gameplay and learning new skills. The students really enjoyed themselves and even won a few games in the process. Well done to everyone who was involved and thank you to Thetford Academy for lending us some of their players to make up the numbers.

Future Stars at UEA

Year 7 pupils taking part in the University of East Anglia (UEA) #UEAOutreach programme had a great day out yesterday, 25 April 2022, learning about life at university. Having learned about studying at university during last term they had the day to find out what being a student is like. After being introduced to the many clubs and societies as the as the Student Union they had the opportunity to have a go at the climbing wall of the UEA Sport Centre, followed by a tour of the campus which included the visit to a student’s room.

Thanks to the great student Ambassadors showing us around so competently and to the UEA outreach team for organising what was an inspiring day for our pupils.

Getting the vaccine at a walk-in vaccination site

Your child can get a 1st dose at a walk-in COVID-19 vaccination site from the day they turn 12. They can get a 2nd dose if it’s been 12 weeks since their 1st dose. Find a walk-in COVID-19 vaccination site

Collection of 2021 GCSE certificates

Calling all pupils from the Lynn Grove Academy class of 2021 – it is time to collect your GCSE Certificates. You will need these certificates in the future so be sure to come and collect them and then keep them safe. You will be surprised how often you will be asked for them in later life and if you lose them you will have to go through a complicated and expensive process to get replacements.

Thursday 16th December 15:30 – 17:00

If you cannot make these times, please make an appointment to collect by phoning 01493 661406.

Certificates cannot be given to anyone other than the person named on the certificate unless the person named has provided written authorisation for a responsible adult to collect on their behalf.
In line with JCQ (Joint Council for Qualifications) rules, we can only keep certificates for one year after which they will be disposed of.

We look forward to seeing you.
