Welcoming Our New Year 7s: A Smooth and Supportive Transition 

At Lynn Grove Academy, we understand that the move from primary to secondary school is a significant milestone in every child’s educational journey. That’s why we’ve developed a comprehensive and caring transition programme to ensure our new Year 7 students feel confident, excited, and ready to thrive. 

Our Transition Programme Includes: 

• Primary School Visits: Our dedicated Transition Lead visits each of our feeder primary schools to meet students, answer questions, and begin building relationships that help ease the move to secondary school. 
• Induction Days: At the start of July, all incoming Year 7 students are invited to spend three full days at Lynn Grove Academy. These induction days offer a chance to explore the school, meet teachers and classmates, and take part in engaging activities designed to build familiarity and excitement. 
• Summer Camp: During the first week of the summer holidays, we host a fun and inclusive Summer Camp at Lynn Grove Academy. This is a fantastic opportunity for students to make new friends, build confidence, and enjoy a range of creative and active experiences in a relaxed setting.
