Congratulations to all of our Senior Year students on receiving your fantastic results today. We couldn't be prouder! Thank you for all of your hard work over the past five years. It has truly paid off. We would also like to take this opportunity to thank the teaching and support staff here at LGA for their unwavering commitment and dedication to our pupils. We busy setting up the LGA NEW2U shop with 100s of items available in many sizes. Most preloved but some new items. The shop will be open at today only at 10am, with items costing between 50p-£3! Card payments only please and all money will be donated to Heart2Heart to support the purchase of live saving equipment for the local area. The NEW2U shop helps support our families, the local community and the environment. See you there! #WeAreACommunity #WeAreLynnGrove

At Lynn Grove Academy, we often talk about our school ethos and what it means to be part of the Lynn Grove community. This year has truly been a year where we have seen our values brought to life. We are a community - This year, over 600 pupils took part in our annual Community Day, visiting care homes, delivering gifts to our neighbours, collecting litter in local parks and helping to create play spaces for pupils at our local primary schools.Our Year 7 pupils created Christmas cards for members of our community, while our Senior Year Prefects visited a local care home with gifts they had spent weeks fundraising for through their charitable efforts. These acts of kindness and service demonstrate the very best of what it means to be part of Lynn Grove Academy. We put learning at the heart - On Thursday, selected pupils attended our annual Principal's Garden Party, where their academic achievements were celebrated with an afternoon tea shared with family members and staff. It was a wonderful occasion, made even more special by a visit from former pupil and Olympic medallist, Sophie McKinna, who shared her inspiring journey and encouraged our pupils to continue striving for success. We persevere - Our Senior Year pupils, who recently left us, have been exceptional role models for our younger students. They have shown what it means to work hard, stay focused and keep going even when challenges arise. Whether it has been preparing for exams, attending after-school intervention sessions, or balancing the many demands of school life, they have demonstrated resilience and determination throughout. A huge congratulations to our Senior Year pupils, we look forward to celebrating with you again on Results Day. We are kind to each other and ourselves - Pupil leadership is deeply rooted at Lynn Grove Academy and we are proud to have more than 250 student leaders across our school. These pupils consistently uphold our values and go above and beyond in demonstrating kindness. Whether hosting primary school sports events, supporting pupils who have English as an Additional Language, running the Buddy Club, or serving as Anti-Bullying Ambassadors, kindness is always at the heart of what they do. We embrace challenge - Sport continues to be one of our great strengths, and our pupils have once again represented Lynn Grove Academy with pride. From narrowly missing out on gold at the Wellesley Athletics Competition, to our girls' football team travelling across the country to represent Norwich City FC, and our netball teams enjoying another fantastic season, our pupils have embraced every challenge and achieved so much along the way. A farewell to a legend - It is difficult to sum up a whole year's worth of success, achievement and celebration in just a few words. What may be even harder, however, is saying goodbye to a member of staff who has dedicated so much to our school community. After beginning his Lynn Grove journey in 1995, the legendary Mr Carter is retiring. Having taught generations of local families and embodied everything that Lynn Grove Academy stands for, he leaves an incredible legacy behind. He will be greatly missed by staff, pupils, past students and the wider community alike. We are Lynn Grove

We are still gratefully accepting any unwanted uniform, bags, revision guides, calculators etc over the next 2 days and all of next week. These can be dropped off at main reception during normal office hours. We want to thank everyone who has already donated, you are really making a huge difference to our families! The NEW2U shop will open for one day only on the 7th August 10am-2pm in the Main Hall. There will be 'fitting rooms' available. NEW2U are also only accepting card payments on the day. #WeAreACommunity #WeAreKindToEachOther

Our CCF Cadets had an incredible week at Beckingham Training Camp in Lincolnshire! From fieldcraft exercises and nights under the stars (or in FOBs), to canoeing, range shooting, climbing and laser clay shooting, our cadets embraced every challenge with enthusiasm and determination. Throughout the week, they demonstrated outstanding initiative, teamwork, resilience and leadership, making us all incredibly proud. A special congratulations to Ellis, who received a Values Award in recognition of his commitment, participation, and positive contribution throughout the camp. #WeEmbraceChallenge

A huge congratulations to Ms Hirst, Careers Leader at Lynn Grove Academy! Ms Hirst recently presented the fantastic work she has been leading around Modern Work Experience (MWEX) to the Norfolk Careers Hub. At Lynn Grove Academy, we are committed to embracing Modern Work Experience as an exciting and innovative opportunity for our students. Many of our young people have already taken part in careers activities linked to local businesses, helping them develop valuable employability skills and gain real-world insights. We are delighted that Ms Hirst has successfully embedded MWEX into our careers programme, and even prouder to announce that Lynn Grove Academy's approach will be showcased as a case study for 149 schools. Year 10 students, who are currently completing a one-week work experience placement at Norfolk County Council, attended an MWEX workshop and spoke highly of the programme. They commented on how beneficial they felt a programme like this would be for young people preparing for the world of work. To top it all off, Jo Butcher, Careers Enterprise Coordinator at the Norfolk and Suffolk Careers Hub, has requested permission to share our work with schools across Norfolk, feature it in the Careers Hub newsletter, and circulate it internally within Norfolk County Council. What an incredible achievement and a testament to the hard work and dedication of Ms Hirst and everyone involved in supporting our students' futures. #WePutLearningAtTheHeart #WeAreLynnGrove
